Project Zomboid server hosting with mods that load the first time

Most Zomboid server problems are mod problems: wrong Workshop IDs, mod order, a client missing one mod. We validate your mod list before the server starts, keep both the stable and unstable branches available, and give you a co-admin that reads the console for you when someone can't connect.

  • Build 41 (stable) and Build 42 (unstable) branch switch
  • Workshop mods: paste the IDs, we validate and load them
  • Scheduled restarts and nightly backups
  • Admin tools without the terminal: whitelist, kick, teleport via the panel or Discord
  • AI co-admin reads server-console.txt so you don't have to

Provisioning starts while you confirm your email. The dashboard shows the address the moment it exists.

An admin that reads the logs

The CouchRaid co-admin in your Discord explains crashes from the real log, restarts, restores and schedules. You confirm the scary stuff.

Your world stays yours

3 backup slots with one-click restore, full file access through the panel, and you can download your save any time.

Things Project Zomboid server owners learn the hard way

  • Set the server's Public=false and share the IP directly if you want zero randoms.
  • Zomboid autosaves on player logout; schedule restarts at a time nobody is mid-run.

Project Zomboid hosting FAQ

How much RAM does a Project Zomboid server need?

You don't pick a RAM size. RAM is uncapped and shared on CouchRaid servers and we watch it for you; the thing you pick is how many friends can join (player slots). Mods and more players use more memory, and the co-admin tells you if your server is ever running hot.

Why can't my friend connect?

Nine times out of ten they're missing a mod or on a different build. The co-admin compares their error to your mod list and points at the missing one.

Can I switch between Build 41 and 42?

Yes, from the panel. Saves are not compatible between builds, so we take a backup before switching.

Can I use my existing save?

Upload the Saves/Multiplayer folder and the server .ini/.lua config via the file manager, restart, done.

Is there a free trial?

48 hours on a 2-slot server, no credit card. Extend it once by 24 hours from the dashboard if you need more time; add a card to keep it.

Ready when your friends are.

48 hours free on the Duo plan, then from $5.99/mo.
